Monday 7/3/2011: Luke Hochevar dominates Boston (AL), throws NO-HITTER KANSAS CITY - Luke Hochevar had some fun again. REAL fun. Boston (AL) hitters did not. Kansas City's right-hander fired a no-hitter in his 1st shutout of the season. He now has 1 career shutouts in 82 games started. John Santor spoiled the bid for a perfect game when he walked with no outs in the 6th inning. Hochevar (6-10) struck out 7 and issued 1 BB, throwing 73 of 116 pitches for strikes. 'I hit the corners with all of my pitches. That helped a lot!' The hitting star for Kansas City was third baseman Terry Bridwell, he finished with 2 hits in 3 AB, stroking two 2B's. Kansas City scored 1 run on 6 hits. |
Monday 7/3/2011: Chamberlain and Strickland win Player of the Week award The American League's best player of the week was Kansas City's Joba Chamberlain, who wins the award for the 2nd time in his career. He was in a zone all week, compiling an ERA of 1.06 while going 2-0. He hurled a shutout as well. It's the 2nd time that the National League Player of the Week award goes to Alaska's first baseman Terry Strickland. Terry went 9 for 21 (.429), while hitting 3 HR and collecting 9 RBI. He got at least one hit each game this week and is on a 7 game hitting streak right now. Strickland has hit 13 longballs this year while batting .255. He adds 19 doubles, along with 35 runs scored. |
Saturday 7/1/2011: St. Louis' Greinke named Pitcher of the Month Beijing's Hayden Penn had a terrific June, and it earned him the American League Pitcher of the month award. He went 3-2 in June and finished the month with an ERA of 0.99. He struck out 34 in 45.2 innings. Hayden pitched a shutout as well. Opposing players hit .234 against Hayden this season. While posting an ERA of 2.62 he went 8-6 in 18 starts, fanning 89 and walking 19 hitters. He has 3 complete games and one shutout. Winner of this months National League Pitcher of the Month award is St. Louis' Zach Greinke. His record of 5-1 in 7 was among the leagues best this month. In 52.2 innings of work he allowed just 40 hits while striking out 45, compiling an ERA of just 1.71. Zach pitched a shutout as well. Zach has a record of 15-1 this season, with an ERA of 1.46. Saturday 7/1/2011: Red hot Upton and Wright win Batter of the Month award Koushien's third baseman Justin Upton had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the American League Batter of the Month. Justin was on fire, hitting .404 with 8 homeruns and 29 RBI. His season features a batting average of .369 (111 hits in 301 AB), 38 doubles, 5 triples and 18 taters. Upton collected 62 RBI and 77 runs as well. He's 2nd in the American League in batting, 2nd in homeruns and 5th in RBI! The Batter of the Month award in the National League goes to Springfield's David Wright this time, as the second baseman displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Thursday 6/29/2011: Boston (AL)'s Derrek Lee gets milestone hit BOSTON (AL) - Boston (AL)'s first baseman Derrek Lee joined some elite company today, collecting his 2000th career hit! With one out in the 4th inning, Derrek drilled a double, causing a standing ovation from the crowd. His best year so far was 2005 where he hit .335 with 46 homeruns and 107 RBI. 'I'm out of words. I'll probably realize it tomorrow, but for now I'm done.' |
Tuesday 6/27/2011: Joba Chamberlain blanks Hyrule with a 2-hitter KANSAS CITY - Kansas City's right-hander Joba Chamberlain is clearly one of the best pitchers in the game. Hyrule found out the hard way, getting just 2 hits. Chamberlain 1st shutout this season was a masterpiece, as he was almost untouchable. He has now hurled 3rd shutouts in his career. 'I really like to play baseball, and I love the way I was able to play it today.' Chamberlain (10-5) fanned 7 and walked 2, throwing 105 pitches. Jeff Clement helped Chamberlain at the plate, he finished 2 for 4, and collecting 3 RBI. The final score of the game was 4-0. |
Monday 6/26/2011: Player of the Week honors go to Solis and Holliday Las Vegas' leftfielder Kendall Solis had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the American League Player of the Week. Kendall went 12 for 23 (.522), while hitting 1 HR and collecting 10 RBI. The Player of the Week award in the National League goes to St. Louis' Matt Holliday this time, as the rightfielder displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Matt was on fire, hitting .588 with 3 HR and 11 RBI. He now has homered in 3 consecutive games as well! While compiling an on base percentage of .327, Matt hit .275 and slugged .467. He has collected 50 runs batted in this year. |
Saturday 6/24/2011: Kendall Solis socks five hits for Las Vegas HYRULE - Kendall Solis saw the ball really well, leading Las Vegas to a 10-7 win over Hyrule. His five hits thrilled his teammates and coaches, and Kendall seemed happy as well after the game. Number 1 in the 2nd inning accounted for a RBI double. Number 2 in the 4th inning accounted for a double. His 3rd hit, a two-run homerun off Jason Davis in the 5th inning, landed an estimated 374 feet from home plate. He had singles in the 7th and in the 9th . Kendall did drive in 3 while scoring 3 runs on his own. His 5 hit performance increases his batting average to .294. |
Monday 6/19/2011: 5-hit performance by Savannah's Dave Wright MONTREAL - Dave Wright hits 'em where they ain't. Montreal certainly agrees as Savannah's centerfielder unloaded five hits, adding to his reputation of being one of the best pure hitters in the game. His 2nd hit was a triple off Mark Wright in the 3rd inning. A pitch from Deivi Miranda in the 4th inning left his bat for a two-run homerun, landing 395 feet from home plate in right field. Number 5 in the 8th inning, a shot estimated at 418 feet, cleared the wall in right field. He had singles in the 1st and in the 6th inning . Dave did drive in 5 while scoring 3 runs on his own. This season has been a good one for him so far, as he has 85 hits in 244 at bats, resulting in a .348 batting average. Savannah improved its record to 41-29, scoring 14 runs on 20 hits. |
Monday 6/19/2011: Upton and Wright win Player of the Week award Justin Upton from Koushien wins his 3rd Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the American League. Upton helped his team with an average of .394 and 14 RBI in 33 at bats. He has hit 17 taters while batting .375 this season. His 96 hits and 23 walks add up to a .422 on-base percentage. He's 2nd in the American League in batting, 1st in homeruns and 4th in RBI! The National League Player of the Week award goes to David Wright, Springfield's starting second baseman. Friday 6/16/2011: Alaska's Tug Wagner hits for the cycle MONTREAL - Alaska's leftfielder Tug Wagner accomplished a difficult feat in a game against Montreal, hitting for the cycle to improve his career batting average to .258! A RBI triple off Dana Eveland in the 1st inning, accounted for his 1st hit. A pitch from Dana Eveland in the 2nd inning left his bat for a RBI double. A single in the 6th off Chad Robinson accounted for his 3rd hit. A pitch from Kirk Saarloos in the 9th inning left his bat for a solo homerun, landing 423 feet from home plate in right-center. That drive completed the cycle, causing a smile on his face! Tug did drive in 3 while scoring 2 runs on his own. He is hitting .239 this season, with 6 HR and 27 RBI. He's now the 13th player in league history to hit for the cycle! On 5/8/2011, Pat Berg was the last player to hit for the cycle. |
Friday 6/16/2011: Vice City's Rafael Furcal laces 2000th career hit CANCUN - Vice City's shortstop Rafael Furcal joined some elite company today, collecting his 2000th career hit! Along with his 2000 hits, Rafael collected 118 homeruns and 713 RBI in 12 seasons. 'My firends always told me that I will do it one day. I never believed it. Good that I was wrong!' Thursday 6/15/2011: Rudy Guillen (SHA) will miss 5 weeks SHAOLIN - Shaolin's Rudy Guillen suffered a serious injury Thursday in a game against Hyrule. Guillen fell down while running the bases and couldn't get up without help. He will miss probably 5 weeks. After x-rays were taken the diagnosis did not surprise many: Torn Abdominal Muscle. Surgery will be performed next week. This year Guillen drove in 28 and scored 24 runs while batting .263 with 6 taters. |
Wednesday 6/14/2011: Minnesota has no chance in a 1-hitter by David Bush VANCOUVER - Great days are rare. But not for Vancouver's right-hander David Bush. Minnesota found out the hard way that he is among the leagues top pitchers, getting just one hit. It's his 1st shutout this season, and the 3rd time he has done it in his career. With no outs in the 6th inning Bobby Duffalo singled to break up the no-hitter. 'I'll have to give a lot of credit to my catcher. He put all the right fingers down today.' He suffered a serious injury in a game against Valhalla where he left the field in the 3rd inning. After being examined by several specialists the diagnosis is clear: Bone Chips Elbow. This season Haren compiled an ERA of 3.11, going 7-4 in 16 starts. He fanned 83 while giving up 85 hits in 101.1 innings. Dan has pitched one shutout and one complete game. |

Thursday 6/1/2011: Petit and Greinke receive Pitcher of the Month award Limerick's pitcher Yusmeiro Petit is the American League winner of the Pitcher of the Month award in May. He went 4-0 in May and finished the month with an ERA of 1.23. He struck out 17 in 36.2 innings. Yusmeiro also fired a shutout. Opposing players hit .188 against Yusmeiro this season. While posting an ERA of 1.37 he went 4-1 in 6 starts, fanning 19 and walking 10 hitters. He has one complete game and one shutout. Zach Greinke couldn't have pitched much better than he did in May, and the National League thought so as well, naming the right-hander Pitcher of the Month. Wednesday 5/31/2011: Leo Genewich quiets Vancouver bats with shutout SAVANNAH - Savannah's right-hander Leo Genewich will never forget this day. The 24-year old recorded his first career shutout, a 1-hitter, against Vancouver on Wednesday. 'Wow, what a nice day. I guess I had a good breakfast today.' Genewich (8-4) struck out 5 and walked 1, throwing 57 of 105 pitches for strikes. Bohdan Shust provided Savannah with the offense Genewich needed as he finished with 3 hits in 5 AB, stroking a double, with three runs scored. Savannah improved its record to 31-21, scoring 6 runs on 12 hits. |
Monday 5/29/2011: Alaska's Lopez out for the season ALASKA - Alaska's third baseman Felipe Lopez will miss the rest of the season. He injured himself running the bases in the game between Alaska and Flushing. The injury didn't seem to be serious the moment it happened. But suddenly Lopez collapsed in pain and had to be carried off the field. Lopez was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Torn Groin Muscle. Felipe has gone 31 for 147 (.211) this season, hitting 7 longballs and driving in 27 runs. He has scored 10 runs on his own. |

With no outs in the 6th inning Buster Molina doubled to break up the no-hitter. 'Hey, that's my job! Everytime I take the mound I give the best I can. And my best stuff was too much for them today.' Greinke (10-0) struck out 8 and walked 1, throwing 69 of 105 pitches for strikes. St. Louis' catcher Charlie Glenn collected 2 hits in 4 trips to the plate, and collecting 2 RBI. Friday 5/26/2011: Billy Garrison punishes Los Angeles with five hits LOS ANGELES - Valhalla's third baseman Billy Garrison once again displayed his tremendous ability to make contact with that little white ball. He tore up Los Angeles' pitching staff with a 5 hit performance on Friday. A 387 foot drive to right field marked his 1st hit, a GRAND SLAM off Jonathan Sanchez in the 2nd inning. His 2nd hit, a three-run homerun off Jonathan Sanchez in the 4th inning, cleared the fence in right-center. Number 3 in the 6th inning accounted for a three-run double. He had singles in the 7th inning (one RBI) and in the 9th inning . Billy scored 3 runs, and he collected 11 RBI as well! He now has a total of 54 hits this season, accounting for a .283 batting average. Valhalla scored 18 runs on 20 hits. |
Friday 5/26/2011: Vice City's Kazmir out for 5-6 weeks VICE CITY - When it rains, it pours. Vice City's lefty Scott Kazmir will not pitch for at least 5-6 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Springfield where he left the field in the 7th inning. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Torn Tricep Muscle which will require surgery. This season Kazmir compiled an ERA of 5.00, going 4-4 in 10 starts. He fanned 37 while giving up 56 hits in 54 innings. |

American League pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. Crawford helped his team with an average of .452 and 7 RBI in 31 at bats. Tuesday 5/16/2011: Sandy Alomar Jr. Jr. homers three times against Boston (AL) KOUSHIEN - Hitting homeruns is one of the most difficult things in sports. To hit three of them in one game is almost sensational. Koushien's rightfielder Sandy Alomar Jr. Jr. accomplished that feat in a 16-4 win over Boston (AL). Number 1 in the 5th inning, a shot estimated at 352 feet, cleared the wall in right field. His 2nd shot, off Angel Guzman in the 7th inning, was a two-run homerun and cleared the fence in right field. In the 8th inning he unloaded a three-run homerun off Manny Parra. Monday 5/8/2011: Ramirez and Matthewson win Player of the Week award The American League Player of the Week award goes to Hanley Ramirez, Kansas City's starting shortstop. Hanley went 13 for 23 (.565), while hitting 2 HR and collecting 9 RBI. Vice City's first baseman Joe Matthewson had some reason to celebrate as well, as the league named him the National League Player of the Week. Joe pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .667 with 0 HR and 9 RBI while slugging .875. Joe managed to drive in at least one run in every game he played this week. Matthewson has walked 16 times this year and posts a .508 OBP. While batting .443, 51 for 115, he has driven in 19 runs. He's 1st in the National League in batting! |
Thursday 5/4/2011: Huge blow for Hyrule's Zumaya, career over HYRULE - It was one of baseball saddest days. Hyrule's right-hander Joel Zumaya fell victim to a career ending injury in a game against Boston (AL) on Thursday. He complained about pain after throwing a pitch to Derrek Lee, then suddenly collapsed. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Torn Ligament Elbow which will require surgery. Joel has a record of 0-4 this season, with an ERA of 6.68. In 31 Innings he was able to strike out 24 batters. His career featured a record of 28-38 with an ERA of 3.68. Baseball will certainly miss this great player. |
Wednesday 5/3/2011: Jim Heismann on fire, laces five hits HYRULE - Detroit's designated hitter Jim Heismann accomplished a difficult feat in a 11-8 win over Hyrule, drilling five hits to improve his career batting average to .279! His 1st hit was a double off Trey Hodges in the 1st inning. His 3rd hit, off Jay Sborz in the 6th inning, was a solo homerun and cleared the fence in left field. A RBI double off Joel Zumaya in the 7th inning accounted for his 4th hit. He collected singles in the 4th inning and in the 9th . Jim did drive in 2 while scoring one run on his own. He's having a very good season so far, batting .333. Detroit scored 11 runs on 18 hits. |
Monday 5/1/2011: Papelbon and Greinke receive Pitcher of the Month award Detroit's Jonathan Papelbon had a terrific April, and it earned him the American League Pitcher of the month award. His record of 6-1 in 8 was among the leagues best this month. In 48.2 innings of work he allowed just 43 hits while striking out 34, compiling an ERA of just 2.96. St. Louis' pitcher Zach Greinke is the National League winner of the Pitcher of the Month award in April. He struck out 33 hitters in his 6 starts, putting together a record of 4-0 while pitching 33 innings. His ERA in April was 1.23. Zach also fired a shutout. |
Monday 5/1/2011: Batter of the Month award winners announced The American League's best player of the month was Detroit's Ricardo dos Santos, who wins the award for the 1st time in his career. In 95 at bats he hit .368 with 9 HR and 38 RBI. The National League's best player of the month was Vice City's Tyler Hines, who wins the award for the 1st time in his career. Hines helped his team with an average of .344 and 22 RBI in 93 at bats. |
Monday 5/1/2011: Betemit and Price win Player of the Week award Koushien's shortstop Wilson Betemit had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the American League Player of the Week. Betemit helped his team with an average of .524 and 11 RBI in 21 at bats. He got at least one hit each game this week and is on a 11 game hitting streak right now. He now has homered in 4 consecutive games as well! The Player of the Week award in the National League goes to Anaheim's David Price this time, as the pitcher displayed the best pitching perfomance in his league. David went 2-0 with an ERA of 0.56, while fanning 11 in 16 innings of work. He hurled a shutout as well. Opposing players hit .199 against David this season. While posting an ERA of 2.21 he went 3-2 in 5 starts, fanning 30 and walking 11 hitters. David has pitched one shutout and one complete game. |
Sunday 4/30/2011: Homer Bailey shuts out Cancun on 2 hits GACHPAR - It was a great day for Gachpar's right-hander Homer Bailey. The 24-year old recorded his first career shutout, a 2-hitter, against Cancun on Sunday. 'Winning is the most important thing. And I gave my team all the support it needed!' Bailey (4-2) struck out 6 and issued 2 BB, throwing 79 of 119 pitches for strikes. Andruw Jones helped Bailey at the plate, he went 3 for 4, blasting a homerun, with three runs scored and driving in 3 runs. Gachpar scored 9 runs on 11 hits. |
Saturday 4/29/2011: Detroit's Carlos Lee laces 2000th career hit BOSTON (AL) - Detroit's players had every reason to congratulate Carlos Lee, who reached a milestone today, collecting his 2000th career hit! In 12 years of big league action so far, Carlos has compiled a batting average of .270, along with 300 homeruns and 1226 RBI. 'This day is special, I'll probably remember it my whole life. Thank god I'm blessed with the talent to play this game.' His hit in the 7th inning was a single off Wilson Yunga. |
Wednesday 4/26/2011: Zach Greinke quiets Gachpar bats with shutout GACHPAR - Great days are rare. But not for St. Louis' right-hander Zach Greinke. Gachpar found out the hard way that he is among the leagues top pitchers, getting just 2 hits. It's his 1st shutout this season, and the 4th time he has done it in his career. 'I didn't feel that I had good stuff while warming up. But it got better the more I threw the ball. I guess I was lucky.' Greinke (4-0) showed excellent control, walking nobody and fanning 5. The hitting star for St. Louis was first baseman Ryan Garko, he went 2 for 4, hitting 2 doubles, with 3 RBI. St. Louis scored 8 runs on 13 hits. |
Wednesday 4/26/2011: Los Angeles' Fritz severely injured LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles' right-hander Ben Fritz suffered a severe injury on Wednesday and will be out for at least 5 weeks. In the 3rd of the game against Valhalla he experienced pain in his throwing arm and had to leave the game. After being taken to a local hospital, Fritz was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Pulled Tricep Muscle. His ERA of 4.50 helped him to a 1-1 record this year. He struck out 11 and walked 5 in 16 innings. |
Monday 4/24/2011: Span and Harvey win Player of the Week award It's the 1st time that the American League Player of the Week award goes to Hyrule's leftfielder Denard Span. Span helped his team with an average of .545 and 6 RBI in 22 at bats. The National League's best player of the week was Minnesota's Kris Harvey, who wins the award for the 2nd time in his career. Kris was on fire, hitting .474 with 3 HR and 9 RBI. His season features a batting average of .333 (24 hits in 72 AB), 5 doubles, no triples and 4 taters. Harvey collected 19 RBI and 15 runs as well. |
Sunday 4/23/2011: Nick Patterson (PHI) will miss 6 weeks PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia's right-hander Nick Patterson suffered a severe injury on Sunday and will be out for at least 6 weeks. In the 5th of the game against Shaolin he experienced pain in his throwing arm and had to leave the game. After being taken to a local hospital, Patterson was examined by specialists. Wednesday 4/19/2011: Minnesota's Linden severely injured MINNESOTA - Minnesota's rightfielder Todd Linden suffered a serious injury when he was struck by a pitch from Valhalla's Oliver Perez. He collapsed in pain and was helped off the field. Linden will probaby miss 5-6 weeks. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Broken Finger which will require surgery. His season numbers are: .389 AVG, 21 hits, 5 doubles, no triples and one homerun, along with 6 RBI and 6 runs scored. He's 6th in the National League in batting! |
Monday 4/17/2011: Detroit's dos Santos wins Player of the Week award It's the 1st time that the American League Player of the Week award goes to Detroit's second baseman Ricardo dos Santos. Ricardo was on fire, hitting .625 with 5 HR and 25 RBI. He hit in every game this week and extended his hitting streak to 11 games. He now has homered in 4 consecutive games as well! Austin Kearns from Cancun wins his 1st Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the National League. He hit .500 with 7 RBI and slugged 1.000 in 26 at bats. |
Sunday 4/16/2011: Anaheim's Rickie Weeks ropes five hits ANAHEIM - Anaheim's second baseman Rickie Weeks once again displayed his tremendous ability to make contact with that little white ball. He tore up Montreal's pitching staff with a 5 hit performance on Sunday. His 1st hit was a double off Mark Wright in the 1st inning. A pitch from Mark Wright in the 2nd inning left his bat for a two-run homerun, landing 396 feet from home plate in right-center. His 4th hit, a solo homerun off Chad Robinson in the 5th inning, cleared the fence in left-center. He collected singles in the 4th inning and in the 7th inning . Rickie did drive in 3 while scoring 4 runs on his own. He is hitting .296 this season, with 2 HR and 9 RBI. Anaheim improved its record to 6-8, scoring 17 runs on 21 hits. |
Saturday 4/15/2011: Huge blow for Boston (AL)'s Vaughan, career over BOSTON (AL) - It was one of baseball saddest days. Boston (AL)'s right-hander Steven Vaughan fell victim to a career ending injury in a game against Kansas City on Saturday. He complained about pain after throwing a pitch to Jason Kubel, then suddenly collapsed. Vaughan was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Torn Back Muscle. This season Vaughan compiled an ERA of 3.86, going 2-0 in 3 starts. He fanned 8 while giving up 23 hits in 18.2 innings. His career featured a record of 37-35 with an ERA of 5.08. Baseball will certainly miss this great player. |

Friday 4/14/2011: Australia's Gary Look slams five hits AUSTRALIA - 'Wow, five hits in one game is something special, isn't it?' said Australia's second baseman Gary Look after the 20-3 win over Beijing. A double off Roy Oswalt in the 3rd inning accounted for his 1st hit. A 423 foot drive to center field marked his 3rd hit, a two-run homerun off Jason Andrew in the 6th inning. Travis Hafner from Gachpar wins his 7th Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the National League. Travis pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .385 with 2 HR and 6 RBI while slugging .846. |
Saturday 4/8/2011: Don Sanders fires 2-hitter against Vice City VICE CITY - Good things can happen when you throw strikes. And Don Sanders did so today, in a 2-hit shutout against Vice City. 'I was hitting my spots. Now I'll start concentrating on my next start, and hopefully it will work again.' Sanders (1-1) struck out 5 and walked 2, throwing 76 of 118 pitches for strikes. John Quirk provided Flushing with the offense Sanders needed as he went 3 for 4, and collecting 2 RBI. The final score of the game was 2-0. |
Thursday 4/6/2011: Montreal's Jackson severely injured, out for season MONTREAL - Montreal's rightfielder Austin Jackson will miss the rest of the season. He injured himself running the bases in the game between Montreal and Springfield. The injury didn't seem to be serious the moment it happened. But suddenly Jackson collapsed in pain and had to be carried off the field. After being examined by several specialists the diagnosis is clear: Torn Hamstring Muscle. |
Wednesday 4/5/2011: Collin Balester fires 2-hitter against Montreal BOSTON (NL) - Montreal's offense is good, but Boston (NL)'s Collin Balester was even better. The right-hander fired his 1st shutout of the season, a 2-hitter. 'I was able to keep´em off balance. That certainly helped.' Balester (1-0) struck out 9 and issued 1 BB, throwing 63 of 101 pitches for strikes. Brandon Wood helped Balester at the plate, he finished with 2 hits in 4 AB, doubling once. Tuesday 4/4/2011: Ed Oliver knocks lights out with three homeruns AUSTRALIA - Ed Oliver was in a groove, and the results spoke for themselves. He powered Australia to a 13-4 win over Hyrule by homering three times. A pitch from Jay Sborz in the 2nd inning left his bat for a solo homerun, landing 443 feet from home plate in left field. In the 3rd inning he unloaded a GRAND SLAM off Jay Sborz. A 417 foot drive to right field marked his 3rd bomb, a solo homerun off Neil Salazar in the 6th inning. Ed collected 3 hits in 5 trips to the plate, scoring three times and driving in 6 runs. So far this season he is batting .556 with 3 homers and 6 RBI.
